Vlad Plahotniuc offers support to family of fireman who died in the line of duty

The founder of Edelweiss Foundation Vlad Plahotniuc, first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party, announced his intention to financially support the family of the fireman who was killed in the line of duty, IPN reports, quoting a message posted on a social networking site. The assistance totals 330,000 lei.

“I express my compassion to the family of fireman Ivan Nogailic, who died while doing his job, when fighting with the blaze at the storehouse in Ciocana. Together with Edelweiss Foundation, we will be near the grieving family. We will offer initially 150,000 lei in assistance and then by 15,000 lei a month during a year for maintaining the twin sisters and for solving urgent financial problems. Those who died heroically in the line of duty must be commemorated, while their families must be helped by the state and by all those who can be near,” wrote Vlad Plahotniuc.

A storehouse located on Uzinelor St in Chisinau caught fire in the morning of November 11. The fire was declared of level three, which is the highest one. Fourteen fire engines with two ladders were on the scene immediately. Afterward, the number of firefighting vehicles was increased to 15, five of which had ladders. Ivan Nogailic, 28, was married and had two daughters.
