The responsible authorities of Turkey said that Vlad Plahotniuc is no longer on the territory of Turkey. The official response to the request to extradite the former leader of the PDM that was made by the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) of Moldova on September 29, 2020 was sent through the agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, IPN reports.
According to the PGO, the Turkish authorities said that citizen Vladimir Plahotniuc left the Republic of Turkey on October 4, 2020.
Vlad Plahotniuc was put on the wanted list for contumacy after the prosecutors charged him on three counts, namely: founding and management of a criminal organization, considerable swindle and money laundering.
