The current government was the only one that managed to have a very good strategic relationship with its three neighbors and partners from the Black Sea Region – Romania, Ukraine and Turkey, the leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc stated in a working dinner with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyp Erdogan in Chisinau on October 17, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.
The discussion with President Erdogan centered on the possibilities of increasing the presence of Turkish investors in Moldova and of further intensifying cooperation between Turkey and Moldova.
Vlad Plahotniuc said the political, strategic, economic and regional cooperation relations between Moldova and Turkey developed considerably during the past three years. He noted the very good exchange of experience between the two states in such key areas as the building sector, tourism and agriculture.
The President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan is making an official visit to the Republic of Moldova during October 17-18. He will have meetings with officials in Chisinau and in Gagauzia and will take part in the inauguration of facilities built with the support of Turkey.
