First deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc voted for the candidate who does not need his support. In a posting on his Facebook page, the politician said he voted geo-pragmatically, not geopolitically.

“Someone may not understand how I voted. I voted as I am, not as someone believes that I am. If you didn’t understand how I voted, it means you followed only the news items about me, not yet those with me,” wrote Vlad Plahotniuc.

He also wrote he hopes that many people voted or will vote as he did and a better future for the country will be built, together with the future President. “We will meet in the runoff elections – wiser, more conscious of each vote and maybe more interested in Moldova than in false campaign themes,” he wrote.
