Vlad Filat warns Minister of Defense
Prime Minister Vlad Filat asked not politicizing the issue of Moldovan soldiers' participation in the military parade in Moscow on May 9 and warned Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta to supervise the work of the Ministry of Defense's press office.
The Premier said the financial and technical problems will be overcome and it is not the case to make comments at a time when no decision had been yet made.
Acting President Mihai Ghimpu, who is also the supreme commander of Moldova's armed forces, will announce the decision the next days, Vlad Filat said.
Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov proposed that Moldovan soldiers' traveling expenses should be covered with money from the 10 million lei country reunification fund.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense's press office announced that the Moldovan soldiers will not take part in the Moscow parade on May 9, when it will be marked 65 years of the victory over fascism.
