Ex-Premier Vlad Filat said the PLDM wants a coalition to be formed, but without the group of Ghimpu. In the program “Politica” on TV7 channel, he stated that governance with ‘hysteria’ and ‘madness’ is impossible, IPN reports.

“In the immediate period, we will hold negotiations, but will not accept the group of Ghimpu. If we manage to form a Government, this Government should be without hysteria and madness. I personally will not tolerate hysteria and madness in governance. This is also the decision of the party, not only mine,” said Vlad Filat.

The former Premier said that an agreement was to be signed between the PDM, PLDM and seven Liberal MPs on April 23. Discussions were also held with the unaffiliated MPs.

Vlad Filat also said that the parties are in the situation to either continue administering the political process by forming an alliance or to enter the parliamentary elections.

As to the votes given by the Lib-Dems in favor of the PDM’s bills, Vlad Filat said that these were the conditions discussed during the negotiations on the voting of the Premier. He accepted them because he was asked by Moldova’s partner friends to do everything possible to avoid the early elections. “Certain things we did were exaggerated, but they spoke about flexibility,” said the ex-Premier.

In this connection, Vlad Filat said that the new Government wasn’t voted in because somebody didn’t like certain things, beginning with the dismissal of the prosecutor general Valeriu Zubco. “I will not be surprised to find out that a criminal case was started against me or that a search was ordered,” stated the former Premier.

Speaking about the tapped telephone conversations, Vlad Filat said that he will intervene and become involved when necessary so that the law is obeyed. “This happens everywhere. Corruption is deep-rooted and there is too much politicization in Moldova,” he stated.

The Government led by Vlad Filat was dismissed by the votes of the Communist and Democratic MPs on March 5.
