Ex-Prime Minister Vlad Filat wants a new coalition without the PCRM and Ghimpu’s PL. In the program “Good Evening” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, he said that if the negotiations are successful, the new coalition will be totally different from the AEI, both as name and as content, and the talks should be conducted by Prime Minister designate Iurie Leanca and President Nicolae Timofti, IPN reports.
“These negotiations will be public. From my viewpoint, it is very important that society be a witness and see what principles and values the negotiations on the formation of the new government are based on. At the same time, it is very important that the Prime Minister designate has the decisive say as regards the nominal composition of the Cabinet,” stated the former Premier.
Vlad Filat reiterated that the talks will not involve the PCRM and the PL headed by Mihai Ghimpu. “We will not bring hysteria and madness into governance,” he said, referring to Mihai Ghimpu. As to the PCRM, the Liberal-Democrat said that this party wants early elections, while the PLDM is for avoiding them.
As regards the decision of the Constitutional Court, by which his designation as Premier was declared unconstitutional, Vlad Filat said it was a blow to Moldova, not to him. “The request to examine the President’s decree was filed the day when it was examined. Under the Constitution, the sides must be familiarized with the application, but this wasn’t done. This decision will become history and will be an example of flagrant interference by an institution in the political process,” he stated.
The leader of the PLDM also said that he will continue his political activity and will channel all his forces to the party that he heads.
