Lib-Dem Prime Minister Vlad Filat will travel to Brussels on December 16 to participate in the meeting of the European People's Party's Political Bureau, where he will present a report on the post-election situation in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Filat said during a program on Radio Moldova that the presidents of all EPP member parties would participate in the EPP meeting. Jerzy Buzek, president of the European Parliament, will attend the event as well. On December 10, he will come to Chisinau on the invitation of PM Filat. Other important politicians attending the meeting will be President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other important European officials. The Moldovan prime minister said that the foreign partners’ assistance to Moldova, which helped the country overcome the crisis, implies a certain moral duty towards them. In critical moments, these partners must be consulted, according to Filat.
