The Buiucani District Court on October 17 will decide if ex-Premier Vlad Filat will remain under arrest or not. The hearing is set to start at 2pm, IPN reports.
On October 15, Parliament decided to withdraw the parliamentary immunity of the Lib-Dem Vlad Filat by the votes of 79 lawmakers, following a request made by the prosecutor general. Later the same day, Vlad Filat was placed under arrest for 72 hours. He is accused of passive corruption and influence peddling.
