Vlad Filat lays flowers at U.S. Embassy in memory of children shot in Newtown
Prime Minister Vlad Filat and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration IurieLeanca laid flowers on front of the Embassy of the United States following the tragic event that happened inNewtown,Connecticut,on December 14, Info-PrimNeoreports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
The officials offered their condolences to Ambassador WilliamH.Moser.The Premier said that this tragedy that struck the American people is a tragedy for the Moldovan people too.
“We found out this sad news with profound pain. We offer you our compassion. Such tragic cases show us that we must be better with ourselves and with those around us and to understand that tolerance, kindness and faith are the values that we must cultivate in our lives and in our daily acts,” said VladFilat.
Twenty children aged between 5 and 10 and six adults were killed when a heavily armed 20-year-old man spread bullets at children and staff at a primary school in Newtown.The gunman was found dead in the school.
