Vlad Filat: I’m against political forces controlling state institutions

“I’m categorically against a political force, no matter which one, controlling a law enforcement institution. The institutions generally belong to the state. The fact that the parties delegate representatives to manage an institution does not mean that they should have control over it,” Prime Minister Vlad Filat said in a program on the public TV channel Moldova 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Premier said the Government pledged to depoliticize the state institutions. The AEI agreement should be respected and the initiated reforms should be continued. “It is a commitment made to the voters. We cannot tell the voters in the next elections that we have been in power for four years, but cannot show what we did. Holding posts only will not help us achieve results,” Vlad Filat stated. He referred to the Liberal Party’s requests to be allowed to administer the Prosecutor General’s Office.
