The leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat said that Moldova will have an invested government within two weeks and the PLDM will field Iurie Leanca for the post of Premier. The announcement was made after Friday’s sitting of Parliament, IPN reports.
Vlad Filat said there will be a minority government. “The vote of confidence to the Government is to be given by Parliament. The MPs are to attentively examine the government program and I think the necessary votes will be found,” he stated.
The Liberal-Democratic leader also said that the PLDM and PDM didn’t form a coalition with the Communists. “If the PCRM took the decision to vote, it is their decision. I said not only once during our meetings that the PLDM will take any decision for Moldova to continue its European course,” he noted.
Vlad Filat explained that a coalition could not be formed with the PL because this party demanded being offered the post of head of state. “We created not only conditions, but also showed openness for this coalition to be formed. I regret this end of the talks. We offered the people of Moldova a bad show. For me personally, it is another lesson that I learned,” stated the leader of the PLDM.
He underlined that the political agreement on the formation of the coalition between the PLDM and PDM will be made public. Asked by journalists if the accord’s secret agreements will also be made public, Vlad Filat said there are no such annexes.
On January 23, the PLDM and PDM signed a political agreement to form the Alliance for a European Moldova.
