Prime Minister Vlad Filat marked his ballot at about 10.00, after he had been to the church. The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) was accompanied by his wife Sanda. “I voted for the people of this country, including those who are abroad. I call on the people to take part in elections. It is important that we prove we are united and we know what we want to do with our country. The prospects now are without precedent for us to succeed,” Vlad Filat said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The president of the PLDM said the results of these elections will enable Moldova to follow the way to development. Asked about his expectations, Vlad Filat said he was realistic and has confidence in the Moldovan people who are able to make a difference between lie and truth, between values and non-values. Sanda Filat expressed her confidence that the people will vote for Moldova’s bright future so that the Moldovans to not have to go abroad to work.
