Vlad Filat encourages Turkish businessmen to invest in Moldova
Prime Minister Vlad Filat has encouraged Turkish businessmen to invest in Moldova as the Government is open and is waiting for foreign investors. During his visit to Turkey, the Premier took part in the Moldovan-Turkish Trade and Investment Forum, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Government, Vlad Filat said that the attraction of foreign investments is one of the executive’s priorities. “We will continue to make effort to create a favorable business climate for all the businessmen who want to contribute to the development of our country,” he stated.
Within the event, Turkish Economy Minister Mehmet Zafer Çağlayan said the economic relations between Moldova and Turkey develop annually, with trade totaling US$430,000 this year. “The trade in 2012 increased ten times compared with 10 years ago,” he stressed.
The minister also said that Turkey managed to overcome the recession owing to investments. He announced that 225 projects with Turkish financing have been launched in Moldova during 10 years. “The Turkish people are ready to continue to invest in your country, but we urge you to also invest in Turkey,” said Mehmet Zafer Çağlayan.
The forum involved about 50 Moldovan businessmen and approximately 120 Turkish businesspeople.
