Vlad Filat does not intend to run for President

The leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party Vlad Filat said he does not intend to risk running for the post of President of Moldova and wants to keep the position of Premier in order to bring the initiated projects to an end and fulfill the commitments, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I told you I’m not interested in this post. I can allow speculations about this, but I think that the politicians who were mandated by the voters must be responsible. It would be incorrect to and irresponsible to apply now for a post that is stable from political viewpoint and to abandon all these projects and responsibilities,” said the Premier.
The presidential election will be held in Parliament on November 18. The deadline for registering the candidates is November 15.
