The leaders of the three pro-European parties haven’t reached a compromise in the round of negotiations held before the Parliament sitting of January 21 either. The leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat said the discussions continue, IPN reports.
“Despite the impasse, we continue to work and I hope we will achieve a result. We will yet have discussions. We will go to the Parliament sitting and will start to elect the legislature’s administration, with or without a formalized majority,” stated Vlad Filat.
He noted that the PLDM will not form a coalition with the Communists and thus hopes that a compromise will be reached in the name of the Republic of Moldova so that the country has a functional legislature and government.
Several minutes earlier, the leader of the PDM Marian Lupu said the talks are blocked and called on the serious political forces to contribute to identifying a solution to form the government. The leader of the PL Mihai Ghimpu didn’t make statements.
The agenda of the Parliament sitting that starts at 3pm includes the election of the administration of the legislative body and the constitution of the Standing Bureau.
