Acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat discussed the political situation in the country with the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel. He assured the ambassador that all the necessary measures will be taken to go forward on the path to European integration, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government. In the meeting, Vlad Filat said he was satisfied with the results of the visit he paid to Brussels on March 14-15. The European officials confirmed their support for the democratization and European integration process in Moldova. The officials also discussed the results of the round of talks on the Association Agreement that were closed in Brussels on March 15 and the conclusions of the EU mission that is assessing the implementation of the joint Moldova-EU actions with a view to liberalizing the visa regime. Dirk Schuebel said that the European Union will assist the Moldovan authorities in promoting reforms and democratizing the country and will provide all the necessary support for achieving the European integration objective.
