Vlad Filat describes investment opportunities in Moldova for German businessmen
The Government of Moldova aims to liberalize the economy, fight corruption, improve the working conditions for businesses and takes consistent steps to achieve these objectives, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said at a meeting in Berlin, which involved businessmen from Moldova and Germany, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Government's press service.
“We already achieved certain results, but there is yet a lot to do. Seven months is a too short term and we cannot yet speak about significant results,” Vlad Filat said.
The Premier stressed that a principal objective of the Government is to establish a sustainable and effective partnership with the business circles. A large-scale meeting with representatives of the business environment will take place in Chisinau late in May. The business forum “Moldova Business Week 2010” will be held at the end of June.
“After these meetings, we will come up with a plan of action that will strengthen the partnership with the businesses,” Vlad Filat said. He thanked the German investors that contribute to the development of the Moldovan economy and assured that Moldova will continue to be open for new investments.
Germany currently ranks seventh by the volume of investments in Moldova.
