The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat invited the chairman of the Communists Party Vladimir Voronin to a public debate that will take place at Leo Grand Hotel on November 26, starting at 20:00, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the presence of reporters, Vlad Filat signed the invitation whereby he requests the Communist leader to come to the debate, stressing that if Vladimir Voronin does not like the place and hour, he is ready to change them. Filat said representatives of civil society chosen by the Communists can act as moderators of the debate. “The debates should help the Moldovan people make a conscious decision on November 28. I invite Voronin to the debates so that the people see who and what did, what they propose and what they can do for their country. This debate can be a confrontation between the representatives of two country development models,” Filat said. He also said that the current election campaign was and continues to be marked by misinformation and manipulation of the public opinion and that many parties resort to manipulation and lies because they lack ideas. Thus, the people's rights to information and free choice are being violated. Filat accuses the Communists of always breaking the democratic rules of the game.
