The chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat is taking part in the
“EuroMaidan” protests staged by the Ukrainian opposition in Kiev. He was invited to the event by the chairman of the Ukrainian party “Udar” Vitali Klichko, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the PLDM.
Vlad Filat will give a speech before the crowd, alongside the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.
Two lawmakers of the group of Liberal reformers, Vadim Vacarciuc and Vadim Cojocaru, also became involved in the protests in Kiev.
Starting with November 21, the supporters of Ukraine’s European integration have mounted protests, supported by the Ukrainian opposition. The people took to the streets in reaction to the authorities’ decision to suspend the preparations for the signature of the Association Agreement with the EU.
