Vlad Filat asks Terry Davis to review CE Resolution on Condemnation of Totalitarian Communist Regimes

The president of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat addressed an open letter to the Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis, asking him to initiate the revision of the CE Resolution on the Condemnation of the Crimes of the Totalitarian Communist Regimes so that it also refers to the communist crimes committed in the 21st century, Info-Prim Neo reports. The letter to Terry Davis comes in the context of the violent events that happed in Chisinau on April 7. In the letter, the PLDM leader thanks the CE Secretary General for the prompt reaction and the continuous message that the Council of Europe promoted in this period so that the young persons were released from penitentiaries. “Only this way, will the guiltless victims of the Communist regime in Moldova be rehabilitated and similar violent events that have nothing in common with the democracy, the state of law and the human rights prevented.
