Referring to the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, the Premier stressed he will not allow the temple of science to lie at the mercy of people who pursue group interests and aim to obtain lucrative businesses. The Academy's president Gheorghe Duca welcomed Vlad Filat's decision. “The Premier took a judicious decision on this issue,” Duca said, adding that learned young people appeared on the political arena, who know to appreciate the values of education and science and take into account the pieces of advice of the older scientists.
