The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat and the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, who is in Chisinau on a visit, appreciated the positive effect of the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU a year ago, IPN reports. According to the press service of the PLDM, Vlad Filat and Donald Tusk said that this step brought direct benefits to the Moldovan people and contributed to bringing the country closer to the European values.
Donald Tusk noted that Moldova is to cement its position of Eastern Partnership leader by deepening reforms in the justice sector, stabilizing the banking system and ensuring a favorable investment climate. The effort made to strengthen the European course and the path to Moldova’s modernization will be further supported by the EU.
Vlad Filat expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the EU in doing reforms and modernizing Moldova.
