The leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians Vlad Bilețchi said he will vote for a Romanian Republic of Moldova, for the Romanian and European future of the Republic of Moldova. The AUR president stated for IPN that a number of party’s candidates for MP will be today near the diaspora. He will cast his ballot in Milan, Italy, where Valeriu Munteanu will also vote. Victoria Grosu Vremeș also voted in Italy, in Rome, while Dorin Chirtoacă – in Frankfurt, Germany.
Vlad Bilețchi stated that some of the political leaders show cynicism when they call the press and show their pomposity when they vote at home, while the Moldovan citizens in the diaspora form long lies and stay there for hours be able to vote. Solutions to the problem should be promoted, not the fact that they voted.
“We decided to go abroad so as to support the diaspora that was wronged as the people weren’t offered a sufficient number of polling places. In the Republic of Moldova, the people stay in lines by 15-20, while in Rome at 8:30am there were quarters-long lines with over 100 people in times of a pandemic. This is disrespect for the diaspora,” stated Vlad Bilețchi.
The Moldovans abroad can vote at any polling station established outside the country, regardless of their status on the territory of the his country, by using the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, including expired ones, the valid identity card of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova and the sailor’s permit.
