The head of the parliamentary group of the Party of Socialists Vlad Batrîncea, who headed the initiative group for collecting signatures for candidate for President Igor Dodon, said he cannot manage on 6,000 lei a month and the costs he incurs rise to the level of the salary of an MP, IPN reports.
“I cannot manage on 6,000 lei. I spend within the limits of my salary of 13,000 – 14,000 lei. This is the budget for me and for someone who is with,” Vlad Batrîncea stated in the program “Black Box” on TV8 channel.
Asked if he will donate for Igor Dodon’s campaign this year, the MP made reference to the President’s assertion that this autumn’s election campaign will not involve many costs.
“This year’s campaign will be modest and I don’t think there will be a lot of donations. We will decide. We haven’t yet started the election campaign and all the income statements will anyway be public.”
Vlad Batîrncea noted that Igor Dodon plans to go on leave in October so as not to be accused of using administrative resources in the election campaign.
“He will have a modest election campaign, without posters, without much advertising. He will lay emphasis on field trips. I believe such an approach is correct. The President will go on leave in October so that he is not accused of using administrative resources. He will go to work at the local level without sirens. For us, this is not a problem. We worked without break and without a pool of cars all our lives,” stated the Socialist MP.
