The Shor Party’s candidate for President Violeta Ivanov was registered as a competitor in the presidential election. The Central Election Commission took such a decision on September 29, IPN reports.
CEC president Dorin Cimil said that after verifying the subscription lists, of the 23,247 signatures collected in 25 territorial administrative-units, 3,431 signatures were declared invalid, while 19,628 signatures were declared as legally acceptable.
Violeta Ivanov is the fifth electoral contended registered so far. Earlier, there were registered the candidates of the Our Party Renato Usatyi, of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Năstase, of the Liberal Democratic Party Tudor Deliu and incumbent President Igor Dodon.
The period for submitting documents for registering candidates for President ends on October 1.
