The election day ended with campaigning and electoral present offering, said observers of Promo-Lex Association. In a communiqué, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, the Association says that cases of campaigning were recorded at the polling places in Cosnita village of Dubasari district, Petreni, Drochia district, and Etulia, Cantemir district. Two unusual cases were reported at the polling places in Vorniceni village of Straseni district, where the people were offered money for their vote. The observers of Promo-LEX identified cases of illegal sticking of election posters and 15 cases of sale of alcoholic beverages near polling places in the electoral districts of Cantemir, Causeni, Chisinau, Cimislia, Ialoveni, Taraclia, Telenesti, and Gagauzia. Fifteen cases of giving money (by 50 lei) as recompense for voting the PCRM’s candidate for mayor were recorded in Moara de Piatra village of Drochia district. According to the Promo-Lex observers, the voters in a number of settlements were taken to polling places by units of transport in an organized way, while several voters in Dominteni, Drochia cast their ballots on the basis of copies of the identity card.
