Individuals or legal persons that planted vineyards since 2004 until now will receive MDL 25 thousand per hectare. This fact is stipulated by the Regulation on the Administration of the Fund for the support of vineyards, which was approved by the Parliament on Friday, February 9. According to the document, the compensations are offered for the vineyards planted starting 2004 on areas of at least 5 hectares. Smaller areas of at least 1 hectare are also eligible if they are placed together with other vineyards. For the vineyards planted in 2007 compensations will be granted for at least 1 hectare. At the same time, the regulation stipulates that when creating mother-plantations with high-quality seeding material, the quantum of the compensation will amount to MDL 15 thousand, table grapes vineyards – MDL 10 thousands and wine varieties – MDL 5 thousand. Compensations are allotted for the plantations created starting 2006. According to “Moldova-Vin” Agro-industrial Agency, the renewal of the vineyards will have a positive effect over the development of the field, national economy and state budget.
