Vine-growing sector won't be left without subsidies, agriculture minister
The foundation of vineyards and other activities related to the vine-growing and wine-making sector will be stimulated by the government through the Farm Subsidies Fund, after the Government modified Art.31 of the Vine and Wine Law, Info-Prim Neo reports.
To relieve the fiscal burden of vine-growers and winemakers, it was decided to annul the tax levied on the foundation of vineyards. The special fund for vineyard subsidies will also be dissolved. However, according to Agriculture Minister Valeriu Cosarciuc, the move won't leave the vine-growing sector without support.
The minister said that this year the Government plans to award 30,000 lei in subsidies for each hectare of young vineyards, specifically table varieties. Risk insurance for vine nurseries and grape crops will also be partially subsidized. In addition, subsidies will be granted for purchases of refrigerators and other post-harvest handling equipment, the minister said.
