Victory of regions’ Party in elections in Ukraine is obvious
While the counting of the votes of the parliamentary elections is getting to an end, the victory of the Regions’ Party, led by the pro-Russian Viktor Ianukovici, is getting more obvious. After counting 90% of ballots, there is a difference of 9% between Regions’ Party and the Bloc Iulia Timosenko, which got 23%, according to data of Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine.
Votes’ counting shows that the Party "Our Ukraine", supported by Ukrainian president Viktor Iuscenko, got only 16%, indicated a day before.
Iuscenko did not announce yet if he will make any alliance with the formation of ex-alias, ex-prime minister Iulia Timosenko, even previously he required to formations that got the electoral threshold to start negotiations. Iulia Timosenko, at her turn, said that she would meet with the president "to discuss the principles of an agreement".
Press of Kiev noted that if it is not managed an alliance with "Our Ukraine", Iulia Timosenko could loose the position of prime minister. She is concerned especially by the fact that Iuscenko takes into consideration an alliance with Viktor Ianukovici and accused the staff of the pro-presidential party that it is disorientated after part publication of results.
In the same time, Party "Our Ukraine" and Socialist Party agreed on "the principles of a memorandum of creating the majority alliance" in the new parliament, and the socialists do not exclude a possible alliance with Bloc Timosenko.
Political analysts say that the leader of Kiev is not pressured by the time, as, according to law, the new parliament has at its disposal 60 days to create the cabinet.
