Victoriabank added a new award to its cabinet, this time from international magazine Global Banking & Finance Review. Previously named the Best Bank of 2013 in Moldova by The Banker, Victoriabank was now awarded the title of the Most Innovative Bank in Moldova by the Global Banking & Finance Review, IPN learned from a press release of the bank.
The accolade has been offered after the magazine's experts, who yearly supply rankings of the most achieving banks, analyzed Victoriabank's activity during the year. Winners from the whole world have been selected according to criteria evaluating innovative banking measures, investment strategies, achievements, challenges, advancements and contribution to the worldwide banking system.
“I congratulate the Victoriabank team and customers. It is thanks to our customers that we come up with innovative products and services that improve everyday life. This honor encourages us to carry on adding innovative products and solutions to our portfolio in order to offer services of the highest quality to our customers”, said the bank chairwoman Natalia Politov-Cangas.
Victoriabank is leader in implementing new technologies, being the first bank that introduced bank cards, ATMs and other new products such as long-distance customer services.
Previously, Global Finance awarded the bank two other titles: the Best Bank on continuously developing markets in 2005 and the Best Bank on the Moldovan currency market in 2008. British magazine The Banker, an incontestable authority in covering banking topics worldwide, named Victoriabank the Best Bank of 2013 in Moldova. Victoriabank also won several Golden Mercury awards in the Brand of the Year contest and other awards placing it among the top banks in GUAM. This year, it was named one the best banks in South-East Europe, according to the SeeNews TOP 10 SEE Banks; and the most expensive brand in the banking sector, according to the study MD Brand 2012- TOP 50 Moldovan Brands, carried out by Ukrainian agency MPP Consulting.
Victoriabank's achievements are a proof of the high quality management applied in a balanced environment. The merit of the bank's chairwoman, Mrs. Natalia Politov-Cangas, was confirmed through the “Glory of Work” Order awarded to her by the President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti for special merits in the development of the national banking system, contribution to the development and implementation of the main directions of the monetary-credit policy and for prodigious philanthropic activity.
