Victor Parlicov and Tudor Soitu, who were dismissed by Parliament in July, returned to work on September 23 after the Constitutional Court ruled that the two were discharged illegally, IPN reports.

The fact that the director general of the National Energy Regulation Agency Victor Parlicov resumed work is confirmed in a communiqué of the institution. Tudor Soitu returned to his post of deputy head and member of the Audit Office, said the head of the institution’s Public Relations Service Violeta Balan.

Victor Parlicov and Tudor Soitu were dismissed by the votes of the parliamentary majority and the Communists on July 12, following the constitution of the new pro-European coalition. On September 20, the Constitutional Court ruled that the dismissal of the two functionaries was illegal. A challenge to this effect was submitted by the Liberal faction.
