Victor Golovatenco signs for FC Krasnodar

Moldovan footballer Victor Golovatenco will ply his trade in the Russian Premier League. The 26 year old defender penned a 2 and a half years deal with FC Krasnodar, according to club’s official website. Last year, the Moldovan player captained cross-city rivals FC Kuban to promotion to the RPL. At the beginning of the year, the Moldovan international was close to signing for Alania Vladikavkaz, but he rejected the deal. At Krasnodar, he will team up with former FC Tiraspol mate, striker Igor Picusciac. Moreover, former Sheriff players Alexandr Erokhin and Ognen Vranjes are also in the FC Krasnodar squad. He joined his new club on Tuesday, February 1, in the training camp in Turkey. However, in a few days he’ll leave on international duty, as Moldova has friendly matches in Portugal, scheduled for February 6 and 9.
