Victor Chironda will occupy the seat of municipal councilor that was obtained by the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) in Chisinau. He said that while serving on the Chisinau Municipal Council, he will promote the ensuring of transparency in the decision-making process at the City Hall and will do his best to explain to the people how their money is actually spent.
In a news conference, Victor Chironda said that he will be making effort to attentively monitor the work done by the City Hall and the Municipal Council and will continue to promote good solutions for Chisinau. While serving as a municipal councilor, he will offer support to civil society.
Another other priorities mentioned by Victor Chironda is to promote and monitor projects to sustainably develop the city, to work out the general urban development plan, the sustainable urban mobility plan, sector strategies and reforms, especially to promote the City Hall reform, the public transport system reform and to develop infrastructure for alternative transport. “These are projects I initiated four years ago. These are projects that were regrettably put inside drawers by mayor Ceban and were forgotten. These are projects at which we must return and must ensure their development and implementation,” stated Victor Chironda.
He encouraged the people to contact him, to write to him on social networking sites and through email so as to address the problems experienced in the city and to find solutions to them together.
In the Chisinau Municipal Council, there are 51 councilors. In the November 5 elections in Chisinau, the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” won a seat of councilor.
