Victor Bodiu quits city councilor job
Victor Bodiu is giving up his membership in the Chisinau City Council, where he represents the Liberal-Democratic Party, but is keeping his job as the Government's Secretary, he announced in a press statement.
Victor Bodiu stated that all the projects proposed by the Liberal-Democrats in the City Council, in particular the institutional reform of the Mayor's Office, the creation of a structure to attract investment, the free-car zone and other projects, haven't found support among the Council colleagues.
“We must admit that over the past year too much efforts and time have been wasted on political disputes.
Even though the Mayor was re-elected with help from the Liberal-Democratic party, we didn't see any actual support for the implementation of our projects, and this affected the functionality of the City Council”, reads the statement.
Victor Bodiu was elected councilman in June 2011on the Liberal-Democratic Party's ticket. Bodiu concurrenlty serves as Government Secretary and since June 2012 also as president of Banca de Economii.
