Victims of April events to get money from benefactors
The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) announces about setting up a fund to support the persons and families having suffered after the April 7 events. The fund is called “April 2009” and receives money from benefactors, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Valeriu Boboc's family is the first beneficiary of the fund. In the morning of July 3 they received 30,000 lei. The families of other three young men who died: Eugen Ţapu, Maxim Caniscev and Ion Tabuleac, receive by 10,000 lei today, PLDM leader Vlad Filat announced at a news conference.
The fund will be managed by a board with persons from families having suffered. Businessmen have donated the largest amounts up to now.
Vlad Filat adds he offers the families of Eugen Tapu, Maxim Caniscev and Ion Tabuleac to help them getting an investigation similar to the one performed on Valeriu Boboc. After disintering the man's body, an international expert from Sweden found he had died because of the hits he had been subjected to. Filat says the expenditures for possible investigations will be covered from the April 2009 fund.
At the news conference, the PLDM leader has asked the General Prosecutor's Office to publish the full report of the foreign expert on Valeriu Boboc's case. First, the Moldovan authorities had stated the man died because of intoxicating himself with an unidentified substance.
