Victim of Cheadar-Lunga blast dies in hospital
One of the men who were injured in the May 19 explosion on the territory of a Ceadar-Lunga company died in the district hospital the next day.
Dorina Cruc, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 60-year-old man suffered first-degree burns all over the body and a serious abdominal trauma. The doctors could not save him.
The blast happened at the company's pumping station at about 5pm. The two men were welding a pipe. The explosion was caused by a flammable liquid used to make food oil. The second victim suffered second-degree burns and is now out of danger.
