More than 1,200 persons will receive lump sums of 10,000 lei in assistance on the occasion of the Victory Day that is celebrated on May 9. The money will start to be distributed through post offices on May 8, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the payouts are intended for participants in war, persons who remained with disabilities as a result of war and persons who got a disability degree after being hurt when being involved in munitions and military equipment collection operations by local authorities.
The persons assimilated to participants in war will receive by 5,000 lei in assistance, while the wives of participants by 1,000 lei.
