Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca will have separate meetings with the veterans who fought as part of the Romanian army and the Soviet army on Friday, May 7, at 10.00 and 11.00 respectively, Info-Prim Neo reports. Nina Stratulat, the head of the Social-Humanitarian and Interethnic Relations Division, said the veterans will be handed over commemorative medals on the 65th anniversary of the victory over fascism. About 1,500 veterans will receive by 500-700 lei from the local fund. On May 9, the employees of the Chisinau City Hall will take part in the meeting that will be held at the memorial complex “Eternity”. The same day, the veterans will come together for a holiday dinner that was called by Dorin Chirtoaca 'the conciliation dinner'.
