“Veronica Garstea” Foundation looking for Moldova’s Golden Voice
Four singers will be competing for the title of Moldova’s Golden Voice in the last stage of a contest organized by the International Foundation of Culture and Art “Veronica Garstea”, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The four singers are Andrei Ceban, Carolina Petica, Diana Ciobanu and Timur Popov. They were selected from about 4000 competitors aged between 18 and 50 in June.
In a news conference, the Foundation’s manager Veaceslav Achindinov said the prize for the winner is 100,000 lei. All the four singers will be promoted within tours abroad.
The contest has three stages. The first will take place at the Organ Hall in December, the second – in March, while the third – on April 24.
“The contest Moldova’s Golden Voice was staged with the aim of finding a person who would represent Moldova abroad and would conquer the world,” said Veaceslav Achindinov.
Since August, the four singers selected for the final have given concerts in Moldova’s towns. The tickets cost between 20 and 120 lei.
The “Veronica Garstea” Foundation was established in 2002 to support artist Veronica Garstea, who works as a conductor at the choir “Doina”, and to develop culture in Moldova.
