People’s artist Veronica Garstea, conductor of the Academic Chapel Chorus “Doina” celebrates her birth anniversary as well as half a century on stage. On this occasion, she was congratulated by the administration of the Chisinau municipality. Interim mayor of Chisinau Veaceslav Iordan congratulated and wished her all the best. “Your name is inscribed with golden letters into our national culture and in the universal history of choral music”. As a gift, Iordan has offered to the artist on behalf of Chisinau municipal authorities, a colour TV set. Veronica Garstea thanked the authorities for this gesture, considering it a true sign of recognition of her artistic accomplishments. The artist has invited every employee of the public administration to the concert that is to be held on March 23 in the Organ Hall, a performance dedicated to the jubilee of the artist. Art director and conductor of the Academic Chapel Chorus “Doina”, Veronica Garstea is the People’s artist of USRR, laureate of the State Prize, knight of the Order of the Republic and a university lecturer.
