Unaffiliated lawmaker Veronica Abramciuc has told IPN that she hasn’t yet taken a final decision as regards the ratification of the Association Agreement with the European Union. “I will analyze things and will weigh the good and bad points of the accord, taking into account the geopolitical strategies and the dangers for Moldova, given the ethnic composition of the country and the people’s views,” Veronica Abramciuc said within an inquiry held by IPN among lawmakers.
Veronica Abramciuc underlined that her views are mainly oriented to the East, but she must put all the interests on the scale. “I realize what benefits the Association Agreement with the EU can bring, but I also realize the danger that we will face after its ratification,” said the lawmaker.
Moldova’s Parliament is to ratify the Association Agreement with the European Union in July. The accord will be signed on June 27.
