Veris Chisinau and Dinamo-Auto Tiraspol won the right to play in the National Division. On July 3, the Directive Body of the Football Club Licensing System of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) decided to grant a national license to both of the clubs.
Saxan Ciadir-Lunga, which ranked fourth in Division A the last season, also received a national license, but cannot play in the upper echelon. It will have to wait for a relevant decision from the Federation’s Executive Committee.
“If one of the teams playing in the National Division withdraws, Saxan may be promoted,” said Mihai Anghel, chairman of the Federation’s Licensing Committee.
Also today, seven clubs received License A that allows them to play only in Division A on a stadium authorized by the FMF.
Under the licensing regulations of the FMF, the teams that do not agree with the taken decision can appeal it to the Appeals Body of the Football Club Licensing System within five days.
The new football season in the National Division opens on July 27.
