Three men from Ialoveni district were sentenced to 25, 14 and, respectively, 12 years in jail for murdering a businesswoman from Chisinau at the end of 2013. The three were thus convicted of deliberate murder, robbery and illegal keeping of firearms, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office related that in the evening of December 16, 2013 the aggressors waited for the victim near her apartment building situated on Igor Vieru St in Ciocana district. The 35-year-old woman put up resistance and was thus fatally stabbed in the chest. She died on the spot. There were money, golden jewels and valuable things in the bag, assessed at over 93,000 lei. The three divided the stolen money and objects between them and used them for personal purposes.
The police arrested the three suspects in January 2014. They are from Ialoveni district and are aged between 33 and 35. Besides being imprisoned, the culprits were also obliged to pay 368,000 lei in respect of pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage to the victim’s successor.
The sentence is not yet definitive.
