Verdict given on case of minor who was sexually abused in Hancesti

The three teens from Hancesti who were charged with violent acts of a sexual character against a younger mate were acquitted by the Hancesti Court on the grounds that the offense wasn’t committed by the three. The prosecution intends to appeal this decision, IPN reports.

The Hancesti Prosecutor’s Office demanded that the three teens be sentenced to ten years in jail each for sexual abuse by physical and mental constraints.

The case happened in a lyceum in Hancesti town in September 2012. A ninth grader aged nine told his parents that he had been subject to violent acts of a sexual character by three tenth graders during breaks in the school’s gym and changing rooms for three consecutive days. The defendants pleaded not guilty.
