Street vendors trading near the Central Market of Chisinau were dispersed by the police. The vendors put up resistance and threw things they could found, such as containers, chairs and even stalls, at the police and carabineers, IPN reports.

The Chisinau Police Division said three persons – a police officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate and two carabineers – suffered injuries in the altercations and needed medical assistance.

The measures to combat illegal trading go on. The Police and the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office are taking steps to elucidate all the circumstances of this case and to identify the aggressive persons.
