Vendors on Tighina street to be relocated
Vendors that sell industrial goods, food and farming products at stands or on the sidewalk on Tighina St, near the Central Market, will be relocated inside the market. Authorities want the measure to be applied even for vendors that hold authorizations, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Head of Municipal Police Silviu Musuc declared during the City Hall operative meeting that the fight against vendors around the market goes on. If the situation on Varlaam St and Armeneasca St improved, a lot of work remains to be done on Tighina St and Bulgara St.
Silviu Musuc said that most of the vendors on the sidewalk claim they own authorization and that they can sell until their authorizations expire. “I propose to cancel the authorization of people trading on the sidewalk and to relocate them within the market, where they would trade as individual enterprises or LLCs”, said Silviu Musuc.
According to data presented by the head of Municipal Police, 111 tickets have been issued for unauthorized trade and fines of an overall 87,000 lei have been imposed. 26,000 lei have already been paid. In most cases, vendors sold agricultural products around the Central Market.
