In connection with Independence Day festivities to be hosted by the Great National Assembly Square, a segment of Stefan cel Mare Blvd between the streets Puskin and Banulescu-Bodoni will be closed for vehicle traffic during August 25-27, the City Hall informed.
Cristina Aparatu, caretaker head of the municipal division for social and inter-ethnic affairs, told the City Hall’s ordinary meeting on Monday that the festivities will be organized by the central authorities. The traffic restrictions will be in place from August 25 to allow for the installation of a smaller stage in front of the Arch of Triumph and a bigger one in the middle of the Square.
On August 26 a general rehearsal will be held before the Square hosts the Independence Day festivities on August 27.
