Vehicle drivers obliged to have negative PCR test result when entering Romania

The drivers of motor vehicles are obliged to present the negative result of a RT-PCR test for SARSCoV-2 done at most 48 hours before entering Romania as from December 14, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Customs Service and the Border Police.

The given provisions refer to drivers of motor vehicles with an authorized maximum capacity of 2.4 tones that carry goods, of vehicles transporting persons with at most nine seats for passengers, including of the driver, who are vaccinated or who were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 during the past 180 days prior to the entry to Romania, who come from the Republic of Moldova.

The obligation does not apply to drivers who transit Romania.
