Vegetable prices go up at market

The prices of season fruit and vegetables at the market have increased compared with the prices two weeks ago, except for tomatoes and cucumbers. Tomatoes cost 5 lei/kg and up, while cucumbers – 8 lei/kg and up, as earlier. Bell peppers and eggplants are sold for 8-9 lei per kg. Two weeks ago, these could be bought for 6-7 lei/kg, IPN reports.

One kg of capsicums can be bought for minimum 18 lei. Potatoes continue to be sold for 6 lei/kg, while cabbage costs 5 lei/kg.

Greens became more expensive. A bunch of parcel, dill and green onion tops can be bought for 4 lei or even 5 lei. Throughout summer these cost 2 lei a bunch.

One kilogram of peaches is sold for at least 10 lei, as two weeks ago. Watermelons cost 2 lei/kg, while melons 4 lei/k, as earlier. Cornelian cherries can be bought for 15-18 lei/kg, down 1-2 lei/kg.

One kilogram of plums is sold for 8 lei, as two weeks ago. Grapes are sold for 10 lei/kg, as opposed to 12 lei/kg two weeks ago.
